Sandwich Could Cost Man Far More Than $5

A man's unsettling behavior at a Wauwatosa Subway led police to arrest him for his sixth operating while intoxicated offense.

A female employee of the Bluemound Road restaurant called police on Aug. 4 to say this regular customer had repeatedly mentioned an interest in her, and even said "I'd like to kidnap you" six different times. A manager told police he was no longer welcome in the store.

On this day, police located the man sitting in his truck at a nearby pharmacy. He at first gave police a false ID because, as he later admitted, he had two warrants out for a previous OWI and his license was revoked.

This time, police smelled alcohol again and a breath test confirmed that his blood-alcohol level was .16, twice the typical legal limit.
