Tosa Man Charged With His Third OWI
Suspect, 28, was pulled over by a Milwaukee police officer while driving under three times the prohibited alcohol limit Sunday.
A Wauwatosa man is facing his third drunken driving charge after he was caught Sunday driving in Milwaukee with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
Brandon S. Schaefer, 28, was charged Monday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of third-offense operating while intoxicated and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail and $2,000 in fines.

A Milwaukee police officer pulled Schaefer over in the 3100 block of South 76th Street and immediately noticed Schaefer smelled of intoxicants. He then had Schaefer perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.
Schaefer took a blood alcohol test that revealed he was driving with a 0.24 blood alcohol level, three times the legal limit to drive in Wisconsin.

Schaefer was previously convicted of drunk driving in 2009 and 2010. He’s currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail.
