Two Teens Arrested in Burglary, Theft of TV

Boys were seen in neighbor's back yard carrying off a television set, and police stopped them in a car nearby, reports say.

Two 17-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested Oct. 29 on suspicion of burglary after a caller reported at 9:55 a.m. two suspicious youths in her back yard carrying a covered object that looked like a television set or computer monitor, according to police reports.

The caller soon realized that her neighbor’s home the 4100 block of North 96th Street had been burglarized through the back door.

An officer responding to the call spotted one of the suspects running out from between two houses in the 4200 block of North 95th Street carrying a wrapped object that appeared to be a flat-screen TV.

The suspect jumped into a car, and the officer followed until he could get backup for a felony stop.

The TV was recovered, and two 15-year-old Milwaukee girls in the front seats were questioned on suspicion of being parties to the burglary, but they gave matching stories indicating they had no knowledge of what the two boys were up to and were released.
