Police obtained a fingerprint of another man who helped Harstvedt break into the apartment. He admitted to the crime, telling police the victim was Harstvedt’s cousin and that Harstvedt was mad at him so he wanted to steal his stuff.

He said the two took the guns to Harstvedt’s aunt’s home so they could arrange to sell them.

Harstvedt is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $750 cash bond.
