WISN: Store Security Cameras Captured Latest Carjacking

Recording shows chilling moment when carjacker drove off with tenacious victim clinging to his door handle. Area residents are disturbed but not panicked.

Parking lot cameras at the Tosa Liquor store on North Avenue captured the second of two recent carjackings in the area, and Patch's media partners at WISN News 12 were able to access and publish it.

Neighbors also spoke to WISN for the report, and said that while the two crimes were disturbing, they were relieved to know that two suspects had been arrested. One resident said he was confident that no one would get away with such acts in Wauwatosa for long.

Milwaukee police spotted the black Volvo on May 29 in the Sherman Park neighborhood the day after it was stolen at North Avenue and 66th Street in the second incident, and after a foot chase, arrested two boys, one 16 and one 17.

Wauwatosa police are investigating whether the two suspects were also responsible for a similar carjacking on May 22 on 69th Street just south of North Avenue.
