All District Town Hall Meetings Scheduled; Treats Promised

Mayor, aldermen will present and respond to topics of interest or concern to the city as a whole as well as to districts specifically. And there will be bakery.

An ongoing series of Wauwatosa Aldermanic District Town Hall meetings continues April 10 with District 6 and runs through May, with all the gatherings now scheduled.

Mayor Kathy Ehley and the two Common Council representatives from each district will be present to describe city initiatives in some key areas affecting both the city as a whole and each district individually.

City administrative staff have been on hand for the first two meetings, in districts 2 and 5, to help explain some issues and answer questions.

Among the chief topics on the agenda for all districts are the 2013 property revaluation, sewer reconstruction and economic development throughout Wauwatosa.

Residents are welcomed and encouraged to bring up issues of their own as they affect their districts.

Ald. Jeff Roznowski, representing District 6 along with Ald. Brian Ewerdt, promises that there will be cookies when residents and officials convene there April 10.

Roznowski's vow of treats follows the provision of a groaning board of sweet delights, coffee, tea and soft drinks offered in the initial Town Hall meeting in District 2 in January, with Alds. John Dubinski and Kathleen Causier as hosts.

In a glaring oversight at the second session earlier this month in District 5 ("The Fighting Fifth"), Alds. Bobby Pantuso and Joel Tilleson failed to provide a single crumb.

Aldermen of the remaining five districts will no doubt take note of Roznowski's correction of the bakery situation.
