Massage Parlor Owner Relinquishes License

Man accused of sexual harassment of customers avoids revocation hearing by going quietly.

A meeting of the Wauwatosa Committee on Legislation, Licensing and Communications scheduled for Tuesday night was canceled at the last minute when the only item on the agenda became moot.

The committee had set a hearing to consider revocation of the license of Milwaukee's Best Massage, 611 N. Mayfair Road, but the owner of the business, Brian Norris, who had been arrested earlier this year on suspiciion of indecently touching a customer, elected to turn in his license to operate.

"He reliquished his license, and it must have been just within the last day or two, because we just received notice the day of the meeting, by phone, that we wouldn't need to meet," said Ald. Linda Nikcevich, a member of the committee.

Asked whether she thought the committee would have voted to revoke Norris' license had the hearing been held, Nikcevich was unequivocal.

"Definitely," she said. "It's just inappropriate for the community. There was going to be an action taken."

After a first complaint led to Norris' arrest in January, additional clients came forward with similar accusations.

Milwaukee County Circuit Court issued a harassment restraining order against Norris on Jan. 27, but no further charges have been filed.
