N. Hwy. 45 Exit to Blue Mound to Close for 2 Weeks

Also, N. 95th St. between Blue Mound and Wisconsin will close and become a cul-de-sac, cutting off direct access to northbound 45 ramp.

Beginning Monday, the U.S. Hwy. 45 northbound exit ramp to Blue Mound Road will close for approximately two weeks, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced.

At the same time, North 95th Street between Blue Mound and Wisconsin Avenue will close for construction of a cul-du-sac.

The street will be available to local residents and visitors throughout, but with on-street parking restricted.

After the cul-du-sac is complete, through motorists will be unable to use 95th Street to travel to Wisconsin Avenue or use the northbound entrance ramp to Hwy. 45 long-term.

For access to northbound 45, motorists on Blue Mound are advised to take 97th Street north to Wisconsin and turn east for two blocks to the entrance ramp on the left.

During construction, some short-term lane restrictions on Hwy. 45 will be in force overnight next week.

The temporary exit ramp at Wisconsin Avenue will provide reliable access to the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center and Wauwatosa during the Zoo Interchange reconstruction project. The completed new ramp is expected to open later this fall.
