Watch Debate at Viewing Party with Patch Wednesday at the Rosebud

Be part of a discussion surrounding the first debate between President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney. This is a free event but space is limited.

Join Patch on Oct. 3 for a presidential debate viewing party at the re-opened Rosebud Cinema, and share your views on how the candidates' remarks addressed the issues you care about.

A limited number of spaces will be made availble to the general public for this free event. RSVP by using the form on this page or email matthew.schroeder@patch.com to hold a spot. We're seeking Democrats and Republicans, undecided voters, small business owners, civic-minded citizens and those interested in the political process.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. with networking and trivia, and the Rosebud's kitchen will be open. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are scheduled to debate between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., and afterward Patch editors will talk with groups of attendees regarding their impression of the debate.

Romney is expected to do pretty well but really.....why not? He knows the questions that will be asked and has had days to practice how to answer them. Now he is saying Obama has had many debates and this is his first. Really? How about all the debates he had running for Governor? The debates he had when he was trying to be a Presidental candidate in the past? All his debates going into this election. Cripes, he was debating when Obama was still in college! But if they want to have debates, just ask them questions without everything being prepared and rehearsed.
