East Winter Tailgate Will Be Warm with Hoops, Food, Prizes and More

Dinner and silent auction will support the Raiders basketball program, Junior Raiders will be on show.

It's not only at Lambeau Field that you can you tailgate during a Wisconsin winter.

This one, though, Saturday at , will be comfortably indoors, as the school's basketball boosters put on their Winter Tailgate Party to support the high school and Junior Red Raider basketball teams.

The party runs from 2 to 5 p.m. before the East varsity team matches up with Waunakee High School at 6:15 p.m. in a non-conference game. The East boys will be looking to bounce back from a 60-56 loss Tuesday to conference rival West Allis Central.

The tailgate dinner costs $5 and features a choice of a hot dog, burger or brat along with and chips, a beverage and dessert.

Activities include stacking cups, checkers, face-painting, tug-o'-war and free-throw shooting competitions.

As a special treat, there will be a prize awarded for the best-dressed super-fan.

A silent auction opens at 2 p.m. and bids close after half-time of the varsity game. Among the auction items are a fly fishing package, a Visual Image Photography gift certificate, Pampering Mom basket, hand-crafted jewelry and
4 reserved seats to the 2012 Tosa East graduation.

There will also be a recognition ceremony for the fourth- through eighth-grade Junior Red Raider basketball teams during the varsity half-time.

In addition, the freshman teams will play at 3 p.m. and the junior varsity squads will match up at 4:30.
