On The River's Edge

You are invited to a community forum featuring the Menomonee River and its watershed. Attend to learn about your local watershed; how your water use behaviors impact the sewer system; positive steps you can take to prevent backups; and how you can protect our rivers, lakes and streams. Please attend as much of the evening as you are able.

At 4:00 meet at the front door of the Senior Center for a walking tour of the Menomonee River.  (Please RSVP for this as space is limited:  Chris at 414.520.7935 or Barbara at 414.259.0731).

At 6:00 there will be networking inside with free pizza and beverages.  At 6:30 Eddee Daniel, author of Urban Wilderness: Exploring a Metropolitan Watershed, will present a photo exploration of the Menomonee River.  Following the talk will be opportunity to gather in small groups with a facilitator to discuss our personal experiences with watersheds and issues involved.  The sponsoring organizations will present strategies for protecting our basements and our watershed.
