For 7th Straight Year, Tosa East Boys Go to State

The volleyball team, which won the title in 2006, takes on Kettle Moraine in a Friday evening quarterfinal.

Wauwatosa East makes its seventh consecutive trip to the WIAA state boys volleyball finals on Friday, taking on Kettle Moraine in a semifinal match at 7:45 p.m. at Wisconsin Lutheran College.

The Red Raiders are 30-6 and were state champions in 2006. Kettle Moraine is 19-9 and is at state for the third time.

Wauwatosa East defeated Brookfield Central 25-18, 25-21, 20-25, 25-23 in the sectional final to advance.

Other quarterfinal matches are:

  • Appleton North (31-0) vs. Germantown (23-8) - 5 p.m.
  • Muskego (26-6) vs. Marquette (21-7) - 5 p.m.
  • Catholic Memorial (27-9) vs. Burlington (23-3) - 7:30 p.m.

Semifinals are Friday and the championship is at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
