Learn About New Wauwatosa Virtual Academy in Saturday Sessions

Get more information about the new online schooling option for Wauwatosa students in grades 6-12.

Families interested in learning more about the new Wauwatosa Virtual Academy can attend one of four informational schedules each of the next four Saturdays.

Sessions are at 10 a.m. April 6, 13, 20 and 27 at the district office, 12121 W. North Avenue.

, will combine a rigorous, standards-based online curriculum, individualized student support and a flexible schedule that lets students complete their school work whenever and wherever works best for them, according to a release.

The virtual academy is open to students in grades 6-12 throughout the state, though local residents enroll through the Wauwatosa School District.

District offices are closed until April 8, but the contact at the district for the academy is Dennis Mahony, (414) 257-4857.
