Red Raiders are ranked No. 3 in the area and have two invitational victories over rival Brookfield Central.

The boys cross country team has high hopes for reaching the state meet for the first time since 1991.

The Red Raiders are ranked No. 3 in the area. They won the Homestead Highlander Invitational and then the South Milwaukee Rocket Invitational before taking second at the Racine St. Catherine's Angel Invite last weekend, tying Brookfield Central but losing out on the sixth-runner tiebreaker.

Varsity members are Dan Gagne, Steffen Urich, R.J. Salmon, Jonah Meidel, Jack Lockhart, Jake Watson, Cavy Brennan, Tom Acompanado and Clayton Ristow. Tom Rehberger, who ran at Tosa East back in the 1970s, is the head coach.

The Red Raiders have three more regular season invitationals, at Cedarburg, Beaver Dam and Wisconsin Lutheran. After that comes the Greater Metro Conference meet at Mitchell Park, then the Homestead Sectional on Oct. 22. The top 2 teams from that event go to the state meet, Oct. 29 at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
