Wauwatosa School District Hires Retired Police Officer For Safety Job

This coming school year in the Wauwatosa School District there will be a new "sheriff" (or at least a retired police officer) in town, according to a story by Wauwatosa Now.

Retired police officer Dale Weiss will serve as the district school safety coordinator, a newly created position to address safety concerns.

Weiss will address those safety concerns, identified through a school-wide survey, on a district-wide basis from bullying to classroom safety, said Superintendent Phil Ertl.
