Mayfair Mall welcomes holiday shoppers with free coffee beginning at 5 a.m.

The week ahead in Wauwatosa is rather relaxed from an official standpoint, thanks to the can-it-be-here-already Thanksgiving holiday.

Schools are out beginning Wednesday. City offices are closed all day Thursday and Friday, and there are no council or even committee meetings scheduled all week.

But there remain some things to do if you stick around the home front.

On Tuesday, the at , 7606 W. State St. It’s a team fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., so eat in or call ahead with your order to support the girls’ efforts.

Black Friday should make just a teensy bit busy, and the festivities begin at 5 a.m. with free coffee, breakfast treats and entertainment in the food court.

That night, if you need to get out of dodge, catch the Tosa West boys basketball team as it opens the season at Fort Atkinson in a holiday tournament. Friday night the Trojans take on Racine Park.
