A Promising Season: Tosa West Baseball Tied Atop Woodland Conference

On a tear this season, the Trojans have won 10 of their last 11 on their way to a 15-3 overall records.

Dominating Greenfield on Thursday 17-3 and besting New Berlin Eisenhower 5-1 on Monday, the Trojans hold a 9-2 record in the Woodland West Conference, sharing the lead with Pius XI, according to Wissports.net

Led by J.J. Belknapp (.765 batting average) and Austin Jones with 14 runs batted in and six wins on the mound, Tosa West has been running through the competition, outscoring their opponents 106-56 over the season, the sports website reports.

The Trojans went on a 7-game winning streak before losing June 18 to New Berlin West. The team finished the 2012 season at 16-13. 

Tosa West will host New Berlin Eisenhower on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. match.
