East Grad Jake Barnett in NCAA Men's Basketball Tourney with St. Louis

Jake Barnett and St. Louis play Thursday vs. New Mexico State. Wisconsin and Marquette also play in March Madness this week.

Wauwatosa East graduate Jake Barnett is a member of the St. Louis University team that plays Thursday in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

St. Louis is a No. 4 seed in the Midwest region and plays New Mexico State, a No. 13 seed, at 1:10 p.m. Central time. The game will be broadcast on TNT.

Barnett, a 6-foot-5 junior, played his freshman year at Toldeo before transferring. This season he has appeared in all 33 games for the Billikens (27-6), averaging 3.7 points and 2.8 rebounds. He is 24 of 70 from 3-point range this year.
