Will Ryan Braun Ever Recover from PED Scandal?

We asked Patch readers that very question, in the wake of the news of his season-ending suspension due to violating MLB's drug policy.

Major League Baseball’s season-ending suspension, without pay, of Ryan Braun has no doubt tarnished the Milwaukee Brewers slugger’s legacy, in a way the 65-game penalty or $3.3 million in lost wages can’t begin to measure.

Braun reportedly accepted the suspension Monday for violating the league’s drug policy in connection with evidence collected during an investigation into the Biogenesis clinic in Florida, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Essentially, Braun admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs and lying about it.

With that said, will Braun ever be able to regain his standing among Brewers fans? Is his reputation tarnished forever? Or will this eventually simmer down?
