Folks Asked to Lend a Hand for Fall Cleanup at Hart Park

Weeding and trash pickup are needed community services Saturday morning.

The weather forecast for Saturday is currently clear and crisp – if it stays that way, it should be a perfect day to get out do some autumn chores.

The Friends of Hart Park Foundation is asking volunteers to spend some of their weekend hours helping out the community at its Fall 2011 Weed Out and Menomonee River Cleanup.Β 

The cleanup is from 9 a.m. to noon, with a focus on pulling weeds and cleaning up trash along the Menomonee River at Hart Park. Volunteers should gather outside the , 7300 Chestnut St.

The Friends will supply bags but ask that volunteers bring gloves, shears and any other tools or supplies that might be beneficial for the cleanup.

The Friends of Hart Park is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote and preserve Wauwatosa's only city-owned park.
