Suspect Charged in Bungled Pharmacy Robbery

The accused allegedly made the fateful error of trying to rob of opiates the very counter where he regularly, suspiciously, quite visibly and by name purchased opiates before.

A 21-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested, charged and now identified as the suspect in an aborted attempt to rob a Wauwatosa pharmacy, thwarted when an employee curtly told him to "Get the hell out." Although the suspect did, and escaped at the time, another employee of the store identified him from surveillance video as Walter H. Petite – a regular customer of the pharmacy counter.  Petite was charged Friday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of robbery with threat of force. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines. 17-Year-Old Charged in Two Armed Robberies on East Side

He admitted to police robbing a Tosa teenager and attempting to rob a couple on North Avenue with a 13-year-old accomplice.

Charges have been filed against a 17-year-old from Milwaukee who admitted to robbing a Wauwatosa boy at gunpoint Saturday night after trying to rob a couple on North Avenue minutes earlier. Nicholas J. Howell was charged Tuesday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of armed robbery and two counts of attempted armed robbery. If convicted, he faces up to 80 years in prison and $200,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 8:48 p.m. Saturday, police were called to Number 1 Chinese Restaurant, 6119 W. North Ave., on a report of an attempted armed robbery in the street in front of the restaurant.
