Once more, police send a large force to deal with problems at notorious address on Wauwatosa's west side, this time to break up a fight between Jude and his brother.
Yet again, police were called to the west Wauwatosa home of Frank Jude, and he and his brother, Jerome A. Wallace, were both jailed for battery and jumping bail after they beat each other up Monday. Jude received national attention after he was beaten by on- and off-duty police officers in 2004 in Bay View. He has since continued his notoriety through repeated run-ins with police for domestic violence, drugs and even animal cruelty. At 2:47 p.m. Monday, police responded to a hang-up call from 1332 N. 121st St. in which an argument could be heard in the background. Six officers were sent because of the frequency of calls to the address. At first, things seemed pretty placid. A man was out front diligently shoveling snow. He said he didn't …

During an argument over a car, she tells officers, her husband's brother repeatedly smacked her face into pavement, leaving her with a deep cut and concussion.
A 35-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested last Sunday on suspicion of substantial battery after his sister-in-law, of Brown Deer, sustained serious head injuries while she was at his home in the 10200 block of West Nash Street. According to Wauwatosa police reports: The woman told police that her husband and his several brothers had a business buying and selling cars, and she had gotten into an argument with one of them about a car they owned that had been reported stolen and then recovered in Milwaukee. She believed that her husband’s brother had sold the car for drug money, she said. He became irate and, just outside the front door, grabbed her by the hair from behind, yanked her down and smacked her head into the concrete walk at least …

When a Milwaukee woman began to feel seriously threatened by her drug-addicted son, she drove to the nearest safe haven she could think of – the headquarters of the Wauwatosa Police Department. But her son beat and choked her and threw her to the pavement in the parking lot and then made her drive away before she could get the attention of any officer. She did, however, turn him in in the end. At 12:47 p.m. Saturday, a 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on suspicion of battery after his mother reported the incident a short time later. She said her son had arrived earlier at her home “dope sick” and asking for money. She told him she wouldn't give him money for drugs but would help him any other way she could, and he asked for a ride …

In a very public display of anger management problems, a young Milwaukee man blew up at his sometimes girlfriend and trashed her car, ruined her purse, stole her phone, pushed her, bit her, choked her and finally tried to take her shoes – all in front of a growing crowd at Mayfair Mall, police say. At 5:28 p.m. Saturday, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, bail jumping and as a fugitive after he got into a fight with a girlfriend, also 18, in the mall parking lot in front of Macy's, police reports said. According to the victim, they were just arriving at the mall, where she intended to meet a female friend, and she told her boyfriend it was time for him to leave. She told police he became angry and …

A young man troubled by alcoholism stole two bottles of mouthwash Friday from a Wauwatosa supermarket and quickly downed one of them to take the edge off his uncontrollable urge to drink. At 3:25 p.m., police arrested a 23-year-old South Milwaukee man for retail theft after he ran away from Metcalfe’s Sentry Foods, 6700 W. State St., with two half-liter bottles of Listerine mouthwash. A store security officer said he had seen the man taking the mouthwash and tried to stop him as he left the store, but he ran. He had crossed West State Street and the railroad tracks into Hart Park, the employee said, and then just sat down on the ground. Police officers found him there and learned that just while crossing the street and the tracks, the man …

A 42-year-old Wauwatosa man is facing felony charges after he allegedly beat one of the owners of Tosa Liquor Store with his cane Friday after he was told the store was closed for the night. Maurice L. May was charged Saturday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of substantial battery with a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 9 p.m. Friday, one of the owners of the store was in the parking lot and closing up the store for the day when May walked up to him, walking with a cane. From the "with friends like these..." file: At 2:25 a.m. Thursday, police were called to a home in the 7800 block of W. Wright St. on a report of an injury. The officer who responded said he saw several people scattering from the residence when he arrived, and discovered that an underage drinking party had been going on. A 17-year-old Wauwatosa boy was found hiding under the basement stairs and was cited for drinking, and a couple of other youths were rounded up for questioning. An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man was bleeding profusely from a wound on the back of his head, and he and his friends said he had fallen down from drinking. He admitted he had drunk at least seven shots of whiskey. But it eventually came out from the witnesses that the …

Sunday At 3:59 p.m., police were called to an apartment in the 2300 block of North 95th Street on reports of a fight in which one person was hit with a baseball bat and another cut with a knife. Subsequently, two Milwaukee women were arrested when it was determined they had gone to the Wauwatosa apartment threatening to fight the 22-year-old victim and had instigated the attack, which was over the affections of a man. A 21-year-old woman was arrested on one count of battery (simple assault), and one count of substantial battery (assault with a dangerous weapon). That woman had five prior arrests on record, including three for battery, one for felony aggravated battery and one for failure to appear. Her 26-year-old companion was arrested …

The Wauwatosa police probably have better things to do with their time, but at least they were able to end this incident report with a firm notation of "Case Closed." At 7:34 a.m. Sunday, a resident of the 800 block of North 112th Street called police to report that a woman who had spent the night with him after he picked her up at the Days Inn, 11811 Blue Mound Rd., had stolen $5,100 from him. He told police he kept the cash in a canister and he had found it empty after the woman left. The woman was found at the motel but she denied taking his money – except the $100 she had accepted for services rendered – and a thorough search of her room did not turn it up. The man called police later to say that he had found the money hidden in his …

A young Milwaukee man has been charged with substantial battery afer he allegedly attacked and injured a grocery manager who was trying to detain an older woman who was trying to steal liquor from the store – a woman police now suspect was the defendant's mother. According to police reports: At 1:27 p.m. Tuesday, 21-year-old Earl Jones III was arrested after he sucker-punched a manager at Sendik’s, 8616 W. North Ave., who had tried to detain a woman for theft. A clerk in the store had seen the woman take two bottles of liquor from a shelf and not return them. The clerk said the woman had moved out of her view and when she next saw her the bottles weren't visible. The woman came to the clerk's counter and requested a small item, and the …
