Falls, Tosa Police Clean Up The Streets After Several Arrests

Four criminals responsible for several cases in both communities were recently brought into custody.

The Menomonee Falls and Wauwatosa police departments have been quite busy over the past few weeks, but it has been a good busy, said Falls Police Chief Anna Ruzinski. Tosa and Falls police have brought four criminals into custody whom authorities say are responsible for various crimes in both communities over the past several weeks. On Aug. 11, a Falls police officer was surveying businesses downtown when he caught 32-year-old Scott M. Laskowski. The officer said he spotted Laskowski get out of his car, put on gloves and attempt to pry open a rear door at Rincon Mexicano. Laskowski, a Wauwatosa resident, was immediately arrested and the officer found burglary tools and a crack pipe in his possession as well. Laskowski has been linked to …

Rash of West Side Burglaries, Vehicle Break-ins May Be Related

Break-ins at neighboring businesses targeted tools; other vehicle thefts and smash-ins have been reported in the area.

On Monday, Wauwatosa Patch reported that several similar crime reports in an area on Tosa's west side might be related, and the trend has continued through this week with several break-ins to businesses and vehicles, two targeting next-door businesses. The incidents are occurring in an area centered from around 114th Street and to the west and from North Avenue to the north. The Wauwatosa Police Department has been asked for a statement on the rash of crimes. At 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, a co-owner of Best Choice Landscaping, 11820 W. Ripley Ave., reported that sometime since 6:30 p.m. Tuesday someone had broken into his building by breaking the lock on a rear door and had stolen power equipment worth $6,950.
