Boyfriend of a woman who helped victims of domestic abuse in northeastern Wisconsin is now in custody after being arrested in connection with her death.
Update – 4:25 p.m.: Brent Kaempf was charged Wednesday in Marinette County Circuit Court with one count of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Patricia Waschbisch. * * * Wauwatosa police arrested the boyfriend of a domestic violence advocate after she was killed in her home in northeastern Wisconsin. Patricia Waschbisch, 45, was found dead in her Peshtigo home Sunday night, according to Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News. Investigators said Waschbisch's 13-year-old daughter returned home from a slumber party to find her mother slain. A 37-year-old Wauwatosa man is accused of grabbing and squeezing his girlfriend’s face and then slapping her – and he also made threats in reference to the mass shooting at a Brookfield salon, warning the victim about any attempt she might make to get a restraining order against him, she told police. Ray L. Bradley was charged Friday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of battery/domestic abuse and two counts of disorderly conduct. If convicted, he faces up to 15 months in prison and $12,000 in fines. A 47-year-old Wauwatosa man is facing felony charges after police and witnesses said he tripped her in a parking lot, causing her to break her wrist, then beat and kicked her while she was down. According to the criminal complaint, the defendant, who isn’t being named by Patch in order to protect the identity of the victim, had been living on and off with the woman in her apartment in the 3000 block of North 124th Street and she was raising his child.
