Patch has put together a map of all the Fourth of July festivities occurring in the Milwaukee, Waukesha and Racine areas. Please, add all your favorite spots to watch fireworks to our public collaborative map. You can also post it in the comments on this article! You can offer tips about where to park or the best place to unpack the picnic, or just let us know which town offers the best show. The map shows pins with all the area fireworks shows and links back to the important details — when, where and how to get there. If you need any more information from us, just let us know. Here's your guide to Fourth of July celebrations happening throughout the metro Milwaukee area. Unless otherwise noted, all events are taking place on Wednesday, July 4. Bayside: Bayside's parade begins at Bayside Midde School at 9 a.m., ending at Ellsworth Park with an ice cream social and Bayside's Best Dog Competition. More on the Bayside celebration. There will be no fireworks display in Bayside. Brookfield (city): The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on Gebhardt Road near Brookfield Central High School, turns north on Calhoun Road, west on North Avenue, south on Norhardt Drive, ending at Civic Drive. The Village of Sussex is bumping up the fun at its annual fireworks and festival, with the addition of Top 40s cover band Rabid Aardvarks.
Sussex Fourth of July Event and Fireworks Free event held at 6 p.m. July 4, at Sussex Village Park For the first time ever, the annual Fourth of July fireworks at Sussex Village Park will include a little bit more. Thanks to sponsorships from area businesses like Boneyard Pub & Grille, Sussex Parks and Recreation was able to hire the band Rabid Aardvarks, and with a silly name like that, you know it'll be a good time. The band plays Top 40s cover music, and was recently voted as Wisconsin's best cover band. The Rabid Aardvarks will play at the Lion's Open Air Shelter at Sussex Village Park from 6 - 9 p.m. to provide some solid entertainment while residents grill out in the park. Whitefish Bay Fourth of July celebration This free event begins with a parade at 11:30 a.m. on July 4, and continues with an afternoon festival at Klode Park starting at 1 p.m. The 4th of July in Whitefish Bay is a daylong celebration, with a parade, kids' games, music, food – and of course – fireworks. The 27th annual Whitefish Bay 4th of July Parade route begins on Kent & Silver Spring, East to Lake, North to Klode Park. The Sturtevant fireworks festival is a home-grown festival so beloved by the community that residents joined together to raise money to bring them back.

This annual event is the very definition of community. After the fireworks were taken out of the village's budget in 2007, a group of resident volunteers came together to raise the money to keep the colors in the sky.
