Not seeing the gun that robber claims to have, pharmacist goes with his gut, sending the man packing. He then wonders whether he was, in fact, packing.

A Wauwatosa pharmacist had one answer to a would-be robber who handed him a note demanding Oxycodone and saying he had a gun. "Get the hell out." According to police reports: At 3:14 p.m. last Sunday, employees of Swan Serv-U Pharmacy, 9130 W. North Ave., reported the attempted robbery. The man had come into the store just before 3 p.m., closing time, and asked advice on an over-the-counter allergy medicine. The pharmacy clerk suggested a brand and set a package on the counter, whereupon the customer said he had to go out for his money. He then came back and said he had…

Two Tosa West Students Arrested at School for Armed Robberies

Girl and boy were part of a group of four teenagers who planned or carried out robberies of five Walgreens stores for drugs, police say.

Two Wauwatosa West High School students were taken into custody last week at the school on felony warrants for armed robbery, according to police. The students - a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, both from Milwaukee - were implicated in robberies or conspiracies to commit robberies of five Walgreens pharmacies on Dec. 21, police said. The two teenagers arrested, along with two more arrested at the time of the crimes, were not after cash but rather oxycodone, a prescription narcotic often sold illegally on the street, police said. Milwaukee police investigated the incidents as armed robberies because the perpetrators implied they had weapons, although no reports indicated any weapons were recovered.
