Couple shocked to see their pet cornered and severely bitten in apartment building hallway by animal whose owners can't produce evidence of licensing or vaccination.
Residents of an apartment building in the 1300 block of Martha Washington Drive reported Thursday that their dog, a Shiba Inu weighing about 25 pounds, had been attacked, cornered and severely bitten by a pit bull owned by neighbors in the building. The couple had taken their dog out for a walk, they said, and had just returned when a pizza was delivered to their downstairs neighbors. The pit bull rushed out the door and drove their dog into a corner, they said, where it bit the smaller dog multiple times, causing lacerations and puncture wounds. They said the walls and carpet in the corner were spattered with blood — of which they produced pictures — and they had to send the dog immediately to a veterinary hospital. The owners of the pit …
