Police say the man told them he wanted to get his ex-girlfriend, an employee at the St. Camillus complex, fired. It took just 3 hours for Wauwatosa police to make the arrest.
Updated 6 p.m. Friday: Charges were filed Friday against a 31-year-old Milwaukee man for making bomb threats to staff at a Wauwatosa assisted living center, causing the evacuation of scores of elderly residents and employees. Demetrius Lowe was charged with bomb scares, a felony. According to Wisconsin Circuit Court online records, Lowe has a previous felony conviction for a 2002 burglary. Lowe was found and taken into custody shortly after a staff member told officers she knew the caller was her ex-boyfriend. Police arrested him barely three hours after the threats came in. According to a police report, Wauwatosa police were called to Camillus Court East, 10100 Blue Mound Road, at 7:53 a.m. on a report of numerous phoned in bomb threats. …

What seems like a boyish prank looks a bit more disturbing when pre-teen curses ice cream shop manager, resists and obstructs police, and turns out to already have an arrest warrant.
At 10 a.m. last Thursday, a 12-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after he opened a fire extinguisher in the basement at Ted’s Ice Cream and Restaurant, 6204 W. North Ave. The manager said that two boys had come in and went to use the rest room in the basement. He heard laughter, and the boys came running up the stairs and out the door. The manager smelled what he thought was smoke, and he ran after them. He saw they were heading for a county bus at the corner of 62nd Street and called police.
