A 14-year-old faces a possible charge of armed robbery after a woman identified him as the boy who grabbed her cell phone and wrenched it away from her on a county bus, according to Wauwatosa police reports. At 5:48 p.m. Jan. 12, police were called to North Mayfair Road and West Burleigh Street on a report of a strong-arm robbery and later arrested the Milwaukee boy in the incident. A Wauwatosa teenager tried his best to escape a pair of attackers early Friday morning, and he lost a dollar but got back his shoes. Three unrelated incidents over three straight days last week involving youths attacking youths are being treated as strong-arm robberies by Wauwatosa police. That's exactly the mentality of the small groups of kids perpetrating these acts. Strength in numbers. I fear as to the possible escalation of these events - - when punches turn to guns, or even worse, retaliation against any groups of kids that are walking to and fro. If this continues, Wauwatosa police may take the same measure of Mequon and River Hills police - what is referred to as "DWB" or…   more ›
