When Mayfair Mall opened at midnight Friday, many retailers had long lines, but the crowd overall was orderly. Although many teenagers attempted to gain entry to the mall, security personnel strictly enforced the rules prohibiting unaccompanied minors during certain times of day.

Regular DMV hours will resume again Monday.
All Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicle service centers will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance with Thanksgiving. The DMV’s automated phone system will remain active so motorists can schedule road appointments and have access to recorded information. The department’s website will also be active during the extended holiday weekend. Titling a registration services are offered by some police stations, grocery stores and financial institutions, with a complete list found on the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s website. All DMV offices will open again Monday and resume regular business hours.
Wine bar is catering in turkey and trimmings this afternoon to teach patrons how match Thanksgiving dinner with the perfect wine.
The Ruby Tap is catering in a preview Thanksgiving dinner Sunday afternoon to allow patrons to sample wines that go best with the holiday feast. The event will be from 2 to 4 p.m., with wine experts joining the owners to help pair wine with the traditional turkey and trimmings, including stuffing, cranberries, mashed potatoes and pumpkin cheese cake. And, yes, the Green Bay Packers game will be on tap as well. The wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres-style Thanksgiving dinner, catered by Sendik's, is $15 per person. My dad's mom had a shot of blackberry brandy every night before bed. Kept her heart strong :) Never had a holiday family gathering on either side without a bottle of Mogan David wine (yuck). Neither grandma's could make a potica without rum. more ›
