What's Closed In The Wauwatosa Area On MLK Day
We've compiled a list of closings in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.
All federal, and state offices as well as banks will be closed on Monday in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The holiday marks the birthday of the famed civil rights leader. King’s actual birthday is on Jan. 15, but the third Monday of January was designated as the official holiday in 1983. The Wauwatosa City Hall and Milwaukee County offices (with the exception of courts) will be open on Monday, but here's a list of what will be closed: Wauwatosa School District schools, Division of Motor Vehicles and United States Post Offices will also be closed on Monday and mail will not be delivered.
