I-94 Exit to WIS 100 Closing Through the Summer

The closure will begin Saturday at 8 p.m.

The exit to WIS 100 northbound on I-94 westbound will be closed starting Saturday, April 6 at 8 p.m., weather permitting. The exit will remain closed through the summer.  Motorists are encouraged to use northbound US 45 to Bluemound Road, Wisconsin Avenue or Watertown Plank to access WIS 100 northbound as a detour route, according to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Travelers should also expect a shift in traffic on WIS 100 over the weekend.  Crews will move all traffic onto the southbound side of WIS 100 until late summer in order to work on the northbound lanes.  The $35 million reconstruction project includes widening WIS 100 to four lanes in each direction, including reconstructing the intersections.  …

WisDOT Northeast Region in Green Bay is reminding motorists heading to Lambeau Field on Sunday, Dec. 23, for the Green Bay Packers/Tennessee Titans football game that some road construction continues on major roads in northeast Wisconsin. DOT Holds 2nd Public Meeting Series on I-94 Corridor

Initial meetings in August created an uproar when it was suggested that the 70th/68th Streets interchange might be removed in a rebuild of the freeway.

A second set of public meetings will be held this week on preliminary planning for reconstructing a stretch of Interstate 94, part of which serves Wauwatosa thoroughfares and business districts. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is continuing an environmental and engineering analysis of 2.85 miles of I-94 between North 70th and North 25th street. It includes one "system interchange" – U.S. Hwy. 41/Miller Parkway – and six service interchanges – 70th Street/68th Street, Hawley Road, Mitchell Boulevard, 35th Street, 26th Street/St. Paul Avenue, and West Wisconsin Avenue/Wells Street. Packer Travel Advisory – Road Construction Update in Northeast Wisconsin

N. Hwy. 45 Exit to Blue Mound to Close for 2 Weeks

Also, N. 95th St. between Blue Mound and Wisconsin will close and become a cul-de-sac, cutting off direct access to northbound 45 ramp.

Beginning Monday, the U.S. Hwy. 45 northbound exit ramp to Blue Mound Road will close for approximately two weeks, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced. At the same time, North 95th Street between Blue Mound and Wisconsin Avenue will close for construction of a cul-du-sac. The street will be available to local residents and visitors throughout, but with on-street parking restricted. After the cul-du-sac is complete, through motorists will be unable to use 95th Street to travel to Wisconsin Avenue or use the northbound entrance ramp to Hwy. 45 long-term. WisDOT to Install New Lighting in Marquette Interchange; Lane Closure Expected This Week

The 'digital chevron' system installed will be a first in the state.

Commuters, take note: The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will implement a new technology in the Marquette Interchange from the I-94 eastbound ramp to northbound I-43 in starting July 12. The installation will close the right lane on I-94 eastbound between the 13th Street exit and the connector ramp to I-43 northbound from July 12-15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. While travel times may be longer, John Oimoen, manager with WisDOT, said the operation will ultimately improve operations and safety on our transportation network.” He also said “a new dynamic chevron system is a cost-effective way to help motorists stay alert and monitor their speeds in this area.” This system is the first of its kind in Wisconsin and WisDOT said benefits…
