PHOTOS: Community, Law Enforcement Honor Fallen Police Officer

Friends, loved ones and members of police departments from all over Wisconsin gathered Saturday for the funeral of Wauwatosa police officer Jennifer Sebena, who was killed on duty Christmas Eve.

Gov. Scott Walker, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and Wauwatosa Mayor Kathy Ehley — along with police officers from all over Wisconsin — attended funeral services Saturday for Wauwatosa police officer Jennifer Sebena. A long procession of squad cars left Elmbrook Church in Brookfield on Saturday afternoon, escorting Sebena's body to Wisconsin Memorial Park. Sebena was shot and killed early Christmas Eve morning while on duty. Her husband, Benjamin Sebena, has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in her death. Benjamin Sebena Had Been Stalking Wife for Days Before Shooting: Complaint

Husband of slain Wauwaotsa police officer Jennifer Sebena admitted to police that he waited in hiding for her near Fire Station No. 1 for hours, and shot her when she left the building after taking a break, court records state.

After initially telling police he was at home at the time his wife was murdered, Benjamin Sebena ultimately admitted he had stalked her for several days before killing her on Christmas Eve, court documents show. Sebena was charged Thursday with first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting death of his wife, Wauwatosa police officer Jennifer Sebena, while she was on duty. Benjamin Sebena became a suspect almost immediately, and his plot to kill his wife unraveled quickly, according to the details of police reports distilled into the criminal complaint charging him with her murder. Slain Officer's Husband Tells Story of Returning from War, Finding Christ

Benjamin Sebena told the story of his ordeal as a Marine in Iraq and subsequent growth in his faith in God.

Benjamin Sebena, husband of slain Wauwatosa police officer Jennifer Sebena, is an Iraq war veteran who suffered serious shrapnel injuries in an incident there. He tells his story in a YouTube video that also discusses his courtship of Jennifer and growth in his faith. The video was posted by No Regrets Conference. The YouTube home page says it is "committed to equipping local church leaders to disciple men who disciple men," in part. The video is from 2010. Sebena was being held Wednesday at the West Allis Police Department following the death, according to a police report, though the report did not indicate he had been arrested.

UPDATED: Husband Held Following Death of Officer Jennifer Sebena

Reports indicate Benjamin Sebena is being held at the West Allis Police Department, but they do not say whether he has been arrested for the shooting death of the 30-year-old Wauwatosa police officer.

The husband of slain Wauwatosa police officer Jennifer Sebena has been taken into custody following his wife's death and was transported to the West Allis Police Department, according to a Wauwatosa police report. Reports do not indicate if Benjamin Sebena has been arrested for the slaying and police are not commenting further. Two Wauwatosa police officers and a state Department of Criminal Investigation agent transported Sebena from the Wauwatosa Police Department to the West Allis Police Department on Christmas Day. They turned Sebena over to a West Allis police sergeant at 8:01 p.m., according to a Wauwatosa police report. The sergeant locked Sebena in a cell without incident. Wauwatosa Man Shot and Killed in Confrontation with Iowa State Trooper

Authorities say 30-year-old led police on chase in stolen car before confronting trooper with knife.

Authorities have identified a 30-year-old Wauwatosa man as the person who was shot and killed in northern Iowa Wednesday by a State Patrol trooper. John M. Pekrun was shot after authorities say he confronted the trooper with a knife following a chase in a stolen car, according to The Globe Gazette newspaper in Mason City, Iowa. On Wednesday morning, Wisconsin authorities issued a warrant for Pekrun for a probation violation and suspicion of stealing a vehicle. Around noon that day, Iowa State Patrol troopers spotted him and initiated a pursuit that led into Minnesota and then back into Iowa, according to the newspaper. The chase ended in Floyd, Iowa, when Pekrun lost control of the stolen vehicle he was driving. Pekrun allegedly came out …
