ReplyNo, that's not it, either. We're choosing to have different people do different things.
Doing these is part of Denise's job, but we've got other editors who are focusing more on writing the more traditional news stories in the North Shore. Instead of asking every one of our editors to do every one of the duties we have at Patch, we're trying to let them focus on different things.

ReplyHi everyone,
I want to jump in and respond to some of your concerns. Denise has a new role with Patch, and it requires her to learn some new communities. That takes time, as I'm sure you can imagine.
This isn't sponsored content or a product placement agreement with anyone. Denise is putting together stories that let people know about deals local businesses offer. She's mining social media for those, and there are some cases where, for whatever reason, a business outside the area is showing up in our news feed. We're working to remedy that, and are putting in place additional safeguards for it. Thanks for letting us know when you spot something that seems out of place.
We've removed the Brunswick Zone item from this story, and added in a different, local business. I hope that helps.
If anyone has any further questions, please let me know. You can reach me at janine.anderson@patch.com.
Thanks,
Janine

ReplyI just pulled the girls' names from the photo caption and included them in the main body of the story as well. Congrats to everyone!

ReplyHi JQCitizen, I've asked for the names of the girls, and we'll include those as soon as we get them. It's a great achievement!

ReplyYou know what, Rosanne, we've got that wrong in the poll. I'll be taking this one down and adding a new one with the correct information. Thanks for catching that!

ReplyHi emelie, the Cahill rink is open. Whitefish Bay Patch reported on it this week: http://whitefishbay.patch.com/articles/cahill-ice-rink-open-for-fun. The Lake Park rink does appear to be closed this year, based on the county's website. I've adjusted the article to reflect that. Thanks!

We're definitely listening to our readers, and while it always feels nicer to have people tell us we're great, it's important that we hear what you think isn't working. We pay attention to what people have to say, and do our best to address concerns.
