Home Assessment Notices Delivered This Week

Also important to know this week is news of a lane closure on a well-traveled Wauwatosa bridge.

Is the value of your Wauwatosa home starting to rebound? Look this week in your mailbox for your assessment notice from the city.

According to data from Zillow, the median list price of a home in Wauwatosa has fallen from $220,000 in October 2008 to $149,900 in June of this year. That amount isn’t the same as your assessed value, of course, but as one goes, so generally goes the other.

Your notice should arrive by Friday, and the deadline for an informal review of the assessment is Sept. 3.
